20 Most Active Indicator

This indicator is used to determine the underlying strength of the market. It is calculated by accumulating 3 weeks of the number of up stocks minus the number of down stocks listed under the NYSE Most Active Stocks (by share volume) in the Barron's Market Laboratory.

This figure moves in up and down movements. When it is rising the underlying strength of the market is getting stronger. When it is falling the underlying strength of the market is deteriorating.

The scale shown on your screen is from plus 30 to -30.
